The cslib.org website recently added an online tutorial entitled “How a Bill Becomes a Law in Connecticut”. Created by the State Library’s Legislative Intern, J. Michael Green, the tutorial provides an explanation and analysis of the legislative process in Connecticut. It is available at http://www.cslib.org/legtutorial

Labor Day Closing

All State Library facilities will be closed on Saturday, September 2 and Monday, September 4 for the Labor Day holiday. We will resume normal hours on Tuesday, September 5.

Public Policy & Elections in CT Research Aids

Our reference librarians have been busily creating an array of new online research aids. These ”pathfinders” are focused on public policy issues ranging from property tax relief for the elderly to highway congestion. They are available at: http://www.cslib.org/pathfinders/publicpolicy.htm. As part of our public policy coverage, we’ve also added a pathfinder on the Elections in CT.

Catalog shutdown on Wed., Aug. 9th

The State Library’s catalog, CONSULS, will be offline on Wednesday, August 9th for migration to a new server. Service will resume the following morning, August 10.
