One of the newest additions to our HeinOnline subscription is the U.S. Congressional Documents Library. This database of congressional material features both bound and daily versions of the Congressional Record in its variety of titles. The American State Papers provides access to the legislative executive documents of the first fourteen Congresses from 1789 to 1838. The Journals of the Continental Congress are the daily proceedings of the Continental Congress. The time period covered includes the adoption of several historic documents such as the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. There are multiple searching options available such as searching a member of Congress by name, searching by rollcall vote and of course searching by title, bill number and citation. Check out the list of External Links for detailed information for selected databases.
