Subject Compilations of State Laws is a new addition to our Hein subscription. This annotated bibliography, with many links to source material covers a span of 1979 through 2007. There is both an Author and Publisher index. The truly unique characteristic of this database is the number of subjects that are covered. In addition, the range of topics go from areas such as Aids to Bicycles, Community Service to Extradition, Faith Healing to Nursing Homes and Resorts to Whistleblowers. Hopefully, I have ignited your curiosity enough to take a look at this valuable resource.

The Connecticut State Library, in cooperation with the Connecticut Office of Policy and Management, Criminal Justice Policy and Planning Division Research, Analysis & Evaluation Unit and Statistical Analysis Center resources successfully created a new Criminal Justice Digital Library – a compendium of criminal justice research publications and reports. This collaborative effort made a number of older state publications on recidivism, probation and other criminal justice topics available online for the first time. Recent state electronic reports were also featured. All publications in the project were added to the State Library’s Connecticut Digital Archive, making them accessible now and in the future.
