We are excited to announce that Connecticut State Library is one of the Featured Channels on Historypin!
Historypin, the popular online site that allows users to “pin” their photos to a map and see the image overlaid onto a Google streetview has just rolled out some new features that enable users to personalize, manage and share their content. On the new Connecticut State Library Channel you’ll find a map of our pinned content as well as Tours and Collections we’ve created. You can even add your own stories to any photo and using the Historypin smartphone app you can create Historypin Repeats, modern equivalents of old classics.
So check out the new Connecticut State Library Historypin Channel and browse the map, take a tour of Hartford circa 1906 or add your own stories to enhance what we know about our wonderful state!
