The next two volumes of the Public Records of the State of Connecticut are now available. Volume 18 covers 1816-17, and Volume 19 covers 1818, including the State Constitutional Convention. Published in accordance with a resolution of the General Assembly, the two new volumes continue a series begun in 1894 with the publication of volume 1, 1776-1778.

The Historical Hartford Courant (1764-1922) database includes full-page coverage of the Hartford Courant and its predecessors from the first issue of the Connecticut Courant in 1764 to December 31, 1922. This searchable digital archive of more than 280,000 pages of important historical content offers article-level search results, article zoning, and edited metadata, including headlines, bylines and first paragraphs. Historical Hartford Courant is available to patrons using the public access Internet terminals at the Connecticut State Library, 231 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT. It is also available at Connecticut academic libraries, public libraries and branches, historical society libraries, and schools. Remote access is available to anyone with a Connecticut public library card, including a library card or Secured Collections & Archives Card from the Connecticut State Library.

The State Library facilities, with the exception of the Museum of Connecticut History, will be closed all day Wednesday, October 31st for Connecticut State Library All Staff Day. All Staff Day provides an opportunity for employees to get to know other employees, to hear from the State Librarian, and to take advantage of skill development opportunities.
The Museum of Connecticut History will be open its regular hours, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Ccar will operate with the exception of Route B.
Normal hours will resume on Thursday, November 1st.

Index to Legal Periodicals is comprised of two databases which encompass the span of 1908-present, with select full text starting in 1995. The search page is easy to navigate with simple searching options. Scanning the list of journals etc… reveals a collection of both national and international publications. The types of publications include law reviews, book reviews, surveys, court decisions and scholarly journals. This valuable resource provides researchers the access to a multitude of subject areas with proper citations and legal authority.
