Feedback
We’re redesigning our website. What’s your experience with the State Library’s current website? We’d like to know.
Thank you to everyone who filled out our website feedback survey! We’re looking at the results right now.
In addition, we always need to know – is there something you’d like to see online that isn’t currently available? Would you like an online community where you can share your research and have conversations with fellow researchers as well as librarians? We will review all of the ideas. If your idea is possible (within the constraints of our limited resources), we will try to extend our services to include it.
You can offer up those ideas by either commenting on this post or adding your ideas to our “online suggestion box”. You can even vote on others’ ideas. We appreciate your time and input.
NOTE: We use a spam filter and approval mechanism to ensure that we’re getting meaningful, constructive feedback.
Our online suggestion box is open…
This is a great idea to have a suggestion box, looking forward to reading patron’s comments and feedback
Since you’re asking — I’m a little fuzzy about the difference between the purpose of the State Library website vs. the purpose of the Webjunction Connecticut website. I’m not always sure about which site to go to for particular information.
You’ve asked a good question – one that others have, as well. The WebJunction CT site has traditionally served the state’s library/librarian community (vs. serving the general public, legislators or state agencies). WebJunction allows the Connecticut State Library to tap into the wider library community of practice and to take advantage of WebJunction-provided tools, such as online learning & webinars. It seems like it might be worth our while to to a better job of integrating and/or clarifying the role of the sites, however. We’re open to suggestions on what that ought to look like from your perspective.
