State Archives Accessions Connecticut River Valley Flood Control Commission Records Friday, March 16, 2012

The State Archives has accessioned records from the Connecticut River Valley Flood Control Commission. The Commission was created through a compact between the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. State Archives staff coordinated the transfer of these records with staff from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Connecticut River Watershed Council.

The records include meeting minutes, 1953-2001; annual reports, 1956-2010; annual financial statements, 1954-1989; Director/Commissioner correspondence files, 1960s-1970s; general subject files 1950s-1970s; reservoir/dam subject files, 1950s-1970s; and photographs. The State Archives plans to process these records later in 2012.
